MOVE-OUT CHECKLIST

 

  • There may be a lockbox placed on your property. This lockbox can only be accessed by Real Estate Agents and can be electronically tracked. Agents will be instructed to give you notice before showing the property. DO NOT ALLOW ANYONE TO ACCESS THE PROPERTY WITHOUT ACCESSING THE LOCKBOX FIRST.
  • Power must remain connected for 72 hours after your move-out date to allow the final walk-through to be done. If you disconnect power before this time, the re-connect fee charged by the power company will be deducted from your deposit.
  • Carpets must be PROFESSIONALLY cleaned. Please contact our contractor, SteamCo at 281-3368 to schedule service. Provide receipt when returning keys. If you choose to use another contractor, please get approval prior to scheduling. If carpets are not cleaned, this charge will be deducted from your deposit.
  • All surfaces must be cleaned including, but not limited to, stovetops, ovens, toilets, bathtubs and showers. Failure to do so will result in charges to your deposit.
  • All light bulbs must be operative upon move-out. Any bulbs requiring replacement will be deducted from your deposit. All smoke detectors must be operative. Batteries will be deducted from deposit if replacement is necessary.
  • All items must be removed from property. Failure to do so will result in additional fees being deducted from your deposit.
  • Please ensure we have all necessary contact information, so that we may forward your deposit to you in a timely fashion.
  • Contact us at (512) 472-4663 with any questions pertaining to move-out.
  • All keys and garage door openers must be returned. You may send the keys to the payment address, and leave remotes in the property on the kitchen counter.

 

We do not schedule a walk through with tenants. We are not ON-SITE property managers, which is why we require the power to be left on for 72 hours. All deductions from the deposit will be forwarded to you within 30 days of move-out, and you will have the opportunity to dispute the charges.
